Josephine Faulk, MPH, author of WORTHY A Personal Guide for Healing Your Childhood Trauma and its companion workbook WORTHY A Personal Guide for Healing Your Childhood Trauma Workbook

Josephine Faulk, holds a B.A. in Management, Communication & Leadership, a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with a research focus on childhood trauma recovery in adulthood and is a Board Certified Life Coach. Her academic training, her own lifelong struggle with the repercussions of childhood trauma and her inspiring recovery have coalesced in her book WORTHY A Personal Guide for Healing Your Childhood Trauma and its companion Workbook of the same title.

We do need to enter therapy with a qualified therapist (see chapter 8 of WORTHY A Personal Guide for Healing Your Childhood Trauma for a detailed list of what some of those qualifications are). But, that’s only one hour a week! What about all the other hours of the week? There are so many things you could be doing to enhance your own healing. That’s why I wrote WORTHY in the first place. Because I wished there had been a book like that when I went through my own three and a half years of trauma therapy. Let this be the day you reach down deep within yourself and tenderly take the hand of your frightened, wounded inner child. They want nothing more than your unconditional love and acceptance. You remember what that was like, don’t you? You will not have to walk this journey to your True Self alone. In addition to your therapist, I will be beside you through every phase of your recovery.

But things are changing rapidly right now. Most of us are living lives stuffed with so many work and personal obligations that we’re lucky if we even get a full night’s sleep, right? Then there’s relationships, finances, managing everyone’s schedules and on and on. I worried that taking care of you would get relegated to the bottom of your endless To Do lists. And so I said to myself—Self, how can we make all the information in WORTHY quicker and easier for everyone who so desperately needs help navigating their complicated childhood trauma recovery?

Then the answer came ~

Make an app based on both the WORTHY book and workbook! There will be questionnaires, just like in the Workbook. There will be categoies so you can quickly get insight and encouragement for what is challenging you in the moment. There will a section for the Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) to give you quick relief when internal pressure is building. There will be several audio clips that you can listen to when reading might not be convenient. I really will be with you every step of your journey. The app will be titled Worthy As We Are ~ A Daily Guide for Healing Childhood Trauma. You can subscribe to the newsletter (on the Home page) to receive notification as soon as it launches. I can’t wait to do this for and with you!
