The whole idea of tackling one’s childhood trauma is incredibly daunting. Mostly because we think of it as one humongous, pulsing mass. For us, it is the monster under the bed. But truth be told, it’s just our inner child under there, shivering in the dark, wanting nothing more than to be loved, soothed and assured that they are significant, safe and—more than anything—WANTED.
